It is far not the first time that the Ukrainian delegation at the International Scientific Conferences of the Consortium is one of the largest, although the selection of participants occurs on a competitive basis and is based on the scientific level of the submitted papers. Participation of the scientists who have successfully passed the competitive selection in the conference is supported by travel grants.
The important directions of the activity of the Consortium for the Regional Cooperation for Health, Science and Technology include molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, hot issues of obstetrics and gynecology, as well as the problems of effective treatment of such important diseases as obesity and cancer, and aspects of legislative regulation of clinical trials in European Union countries, including the use of stem cells.
International integration of Ukrainian scientists, in particular representatives of the Association of Cryobanks, participating in the implementation of scientific projects of the Institute of Cell Therapy, allows constant improvement of the national methods of cryopreservation of perinatal tissues (umbilical cord blood, placenta, umbilical cord).
