National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology named after A.A. Shalimov joined the Association of Cryobanks.

National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology named after A.A. Shalimov is a leading research and medical establishment in Ukraine in the field of surgery and transplantation medicine. Institute scientists developed and introduced into clinical practice innovative methods of surgical treatment of diseases, including methods of cell, tissue and organ transplantation.

National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology named after A.A. Shalimov was established in 1972 at the 6th hospital in Kyiv. From the moment of its foundation it was headed by a world renowned surgeon, professor Alexander Shalimov.

Today the Institute is headed by Alexander Usenko, MD, PhD, Dr.med.sci, Honorary Doctor of Ukraine, Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine.

Thus, the collaboration between the National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology named after A.A.
