In 2020, the Institute of Cell Therapy, a co-founder and a full member of the Association of Cryobanks once again confirmed the international quality certificate ISO 9001:2018. The accreditation is valid till 2023.
In 2014, the Institute of Cell Therapy became the first umbilical cord blood bank in Ukraine to receive the prestigious international ISO accreditation. Audit was conducted by the German company TUV Rheinland/LGA InterCert.
ISO is an international standardization organization founded in 1947. The purpose of ISO is to ratify the standards developed by various countries around the world to ensure that products manufactured by a certified company or services provided by it meet a single international quality standard accepted in different countries of the world. Thus, international ISO standards guarantee that the products or services of a certified company are safe, reliable and of good quality.
International accreditation of cryobanks of umbilical cord blood, other human cells and tissues, in addition to the license of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, is an additional guarantee of high quality biomaterial cryopreservation by the biobank and compliance of its biological products with international standards. The latter is extremely important when it is necessary to transport cryopreserved biomaterial abroad and receive medical services in other countries.
