The Journal “Cell and Organ Transplantology” was accepted in the international scientific fund OAJI
In the era of cyber technologies online libraries are becoming increasingly popular, whose importance for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the world is difficult to overestimate. Specialized scientific funds, in addition to providing access to scientific resources perform calculation of indices, which determine the status of journals and researchers, published in them.
Thus, in the modern scientific world the importance of a scientific article is determined by the number of its citations and citation index of each author is often called the international currency of the scientist, which in the Western world often means more than a diploma or scholar degree. Naturally, that the prestige of the scientific journal, and the level of trust to it is also determined by the index of citing of articles published in it.
Most scientific journals of post-Soviet countries are not indexed in international databases, and this is the main reason that the achievements of national scientists for many years remained unknown to the world scientific community. The acceptance of a journal to the international database is preceded by a long process of careful checking the quality and reliability of the content, rigor of peer review etc.
From 2013 in Ukraine with the support of the Association of Cryobanks the scientific journal “Cell and Organ Transplantology”, founded by the Institute of Cell Therapy is being published. Already during the first year of publication of the journal “Cell and Organ Transplantology” the papers of leading scientists from Ukraine, Poland, the USA, Korea, Russia, Singapore were published in it. And recently, the journal “Cell and Organ Transplantology” was accepted in the international online library Open Academic Journals Index – OAJI. It gives the world scientific community access to the articles published in the journal “Cell and Organ Transplantology,” and will facilitate international cooperation in the field of cell and organ transplantation, as well as cells and tissues banking.
